As I’m beginning my preparations to move off to college in a few days, I’ve approached many new things that were once foreign to me. The most alien of tasks have included activating a Student Visa Card and purchasing a kit of cleaning supplies. And among other things, this is the first time in six or seven years that I’ve purchased a pair of flip-flop sandals. I usually disregard the garb with a sense of conceited disdain—I mean—after all, kids in my hometown of Waunakee, Wisconsin try to wear them in the middle of January with their sweatpants.
However, with dorm life suddenly on the horizon, I’ve had to deal with the fact that I’ll be sharing a shower with four other dudes. I have some OCD issues, particularly when I have to step on a bathroom floor that four other fellas with questionable hygiene are putting to heavy use. I grabbed the adidas Santiossage for $15.00 to ward off my worries with my mom’s 30% Kohl’s Member Card (you know she was excited). The sandal is abounding with Three Stripes paraphernalia, with the logo cleverly incorporated into the clear massage nubs.

shoulda copped the $3.50 Old Navy foam joints for strictly dorm shower usage! After the year is over you’ll want NO PART of those things once you’re aware of all that goes down in the dorms! Those are too nice to be relegated to shower duty…

Although this is a classic, the Santiossage does take a while to get used to and break in. The “massaging” tubes are pretty stiff and will do a number to your soles. Be prepared…
