Coming in fall/winter 2008, the Ultra Lite Hi is AND1’s genesis into the world of vulcanization. Usually the province of ballplayers, the brand has recently taken steps to become more visible in the casual market.

The Ultra Lite is marked by chrome lace rings, the omnipotent reinforced toe cap, and strips of fabric that rise vertically along the rear of the shoe. The upper is comprised of some uber-soft material that is lush to the touch, yet extremely lightweight and flexible when being worn. (I’ll have to do some detective work to discover what the material is.) Look forward to seeing the shoe on www.zappos.com or www.AND1.com later this year in a menagerie of color schemes.
