Italian company Diadora maintained a prominent profile in the world of court and field sports throughout the ‘70s and ‘80s.  In particular, the brand was worn by high-profile professionals and amateurs in tennis, racquetball, and futbol segments respectively. French-born tennis extraordinaire Bjorn Borg sported the brand’s Elite BB as he won the 1976-77 Wimbledon championship, capturing hearts and inspiring young players around the world. To commemorate Borg’s achievement, Diadora is reissuing the shoe in a white/red color scheme to the tune of 1976 individually numbered pairs.  Release date is set for November 2008 at hanon Shop.
