Originally released in 1997, Converse is reissuing their invertebrate-inspired “Fashion Materials” Chuck Taylor All Star that’s distinguished by authentic patches of python skin. And if it that wasn’t enough, Cons is releasing the model as part of their 100th anniversary line-up. The brand has eclipsed the century mark by defying market standards and pushing for constant and relevant product innovation. And while I’ll admit there’s nothing truly technologically resourceful about the shoe, the irritable folks over at PETA are certainly enraged. To practice your own form of environmental defiance (Because really, what would be more American?) head on over to Flauge and be ready to spend $380.

At instant, the design looks like an vintage. I had to read the complete post to recognize that it was the patch of python skin.

These look nice. I’m not really a fan of All-Stars but I’d definitely wear these.
