This colorway of the original Air Jordan VII debuted in the 1992 NBA Playoffs. These were also seen in Michael Jackson’s music video for his song “Jam,” in which Michael Jordan wore them during a game of one-on-one with Jacko. En route to his second consecutive NBA championship, this shoes legacy would rise as it has become one of the most popular Air Jordan’s of all time. There was also alot of hurt feelings in 2008 when the “Hare” VIIs were finally confirmed as being the retro Air Jordan VII in their Countdown Package rather then the Bordeauxs. These remain one of the few in the dwindling list of Jordans never to be retroed.
