adidas Releases the Superstar 80’s

Words_Jeremy Ripley

The adidas Superstar gained unprecedented prominence throughout the 1980s in the athletic and b-boy arenas, and was highlighted in Run-DMC’s My Adidas.  To celebrate the shoe’s inception into the market, the Three Stripes has reissued the shoe in the exact colorways and materials the model saw upon its initial release in the 1980s.  The “80’s” are available at Atmos Japan in white/red, white/silver, and white/blue.

Are those sans clamshell-toe? (Can’t tell from the pic.) If so, I’ve been looking for those for years. Maybe it’s a different shoe I’m thinking of?

  2. Jeremy Says:

Sombra- These definitely will have the Shelltoe–I suspect folks dwelling in the Three Stripes lair might consider it sacreligious to release a Superstar sans the shell.

You might be thinking of the adidas Campus, in a leather version.
