There’s quite a lot of garbage these days across the sneaker landscape, whether it be an over-priced celebratory shoe simply for the sake of manufactured rarity, or another unneeded collaboration between two companies who otherwise have no related history or reason to be working together.
This time around — at least the shoe and its company are being honest with us.
This steaming pile of Air Force 25 is seriously nicknamed “Garbage.”
Atop the Air Force 25 (insert your own “garbage” joke here) is an amalgamation of recycled materials and panels from other shoes ideally incorporated into this model so as not to waste excess resources. It makes for a nice story — it really does, but when it comes down to it, the end result is an awful eyesore that thankfully won’t be releasing anytime soon and will remain a Beaverton sample. For all the good that Nike Basketball has been dropping recently (BB1, Hyperdunk, etc) this is an idea that is probably better served to never to see the retail floor.
Yeeesh.
