This month adidas will release three mid-top silhouettes that tie into the new adidas campaign that features a number of athletes and entertainers like David Beckham, Kevin Garnett, Method Man, Missy Elliot and Young Jeezy enjoying a big ol’ house party together. The ad campaign celebrates 60 years of adidas & 60 years of stories. Some of the footwear from the campaign will be making its way to the retail market and the first batch to do so is a mid-top trio.
The first three silhouettes chosen are the Americana Mid, Forum Mid and the Stan Smith Mid. The Americana Mid is black & white with a suede, leather mixed upper and an all white sole, it retails for $75. The Forum Mid is white & red and retails for $80, which is a great price considering that the Forum Mid was the first ever basketball shoe to retail for over $100 and originally released over 25 years ago. The last of the trio and my favorite is the relatively new model, the Stan Smith Mid, while previously releasing as a low in 1971 it first got introduced as a mid-top in 2003. The Stan Smith Mid sells for $75 and comes in a slick black leather upper with green accents.
All three of these models are going to be on sale this month exclusively at Foot Locker locations.
