When Kevin Durant left Team USA a little more than a month ago, some speculated that it was a business decision to keep his health intact while pursuing a lucrative endorsement deal with Nike or Under Armour. Now his teammates have advanced to the gold medal game of the FIBA World Cup, and Durant has unveiled a new colorway of the KD 7 that looks like it was made for the final.

The shoe starts with a dark mesh base that appears to be done in obsidian. Red handles the Flywire and tongue branding, while a star print lines the interior. The most striking features are a gold forefoot Swoosh and Hyperposite heel wrap. A translucent outsole provides the finishing touch below.

We haven't confirmed that this was Durant's gold medal game shoe, but it seems to fit the bill. Would you cop a pair if they were to release?
