The year was 1990 and an exciting new sneaker technology had just hit the market: The Pump from Reebok.  The shoes with a little ball on the tongue that you pumped up to obtain a custom fit would become a veritable sneaker phenomenon, and still one of the most recognizable shoe technologies of all time.

All these years later, the younger generation of sneaker fans has been reintroduced to the Pump through retro versions of a few classic models like the Pump Omni Lite, Twilight Zone and Shaq Attaq.  For today's Vintage Ad, we take it all the way back to the granddaddy of them all, the OG Pump, simply named "The Pump".
