Vintage Ad: Reebok DMX Run

To much of our delights, the return of iconic Reebok models is now in full force with the Reebok Classics division bringing back a steady flow of 90's basketball and training models like the Question, Kamikaze II, ES-22 and the upcoming Shaquille O'Neal signature shoes to name a few.  Although Reebok's glory days in the 1990's are much more known for their basketball and training models, there is a handful of the brand's running shoes that deserve a comeback as well.  The DMX run is certainly one of them.

Since the DMX Run is indeed set for a comeback beginning tomorrow, March 1, today's Vintage Ad features the original in a faux Reebok inter-office memo noting a new colorway of Viking Purple/Industrial Bronze.  The DMX Run was one of Reebok's first shoes with the then-new DMX cushioning technology, which basically allowed the wearer to run on air with a series of air bladders beneath the shoe that distributed the air from heel to toe as you ran.  DMX technology was relatively short lived, but was a key component to Reebok's best shoes from the late '90's like the DMX Run and Allen Iverson's Answer I.

Along with the Instapump Fury, the DMX Run goes down as one of Reebok's most memorable running shoe models.  Will you be picking up a pair of the re-release from Reebok Classics?
