There's not really anything else to say that hasn't already been said about this legendary shoe. The Nike Foamposite One is one of the all time greats of athletic footwear and the peak of Nike Basketball's "golden era" of design. We've seen these released in many colors -- Eggplant, Copper, Pewter -- but nothing tops the original Royal Blue worn by Penny Hardaway.
Back when Nike print advertisements simply let the shoes do the talking, this shoe screamed at you from the page. I'd imagine the average middle aged guy flipping through his copy of Sports Illustrated didn't know quite what to think when he saw this sneaker. Even though it was released in 1997, it's still a bold and futuristic looking shoe and an essential piece in many Nike Basketball fans' collections.
