John McEnroe, Andre Agassi, Serena Williams, Roger Federer...Nike has long been a sponsor of some of the greatest tennis players of all time and has produced some of the coolest tennis shoes ever - I.E. Agassi's Tech Challenge line and the current Nike Tennis favorite Zoom Vapor 9, which Federer is wearing at the US Open as we speak (or type, more accurately).
Before Agassi blew up the brand's tennis line with his classic Tech Challenge models, there was the shoe featured in this ad, the Air Play from 1987. Long forgotten now, the Air Play was the top Nike tennis model of its time, featuring a clean and durable build. (Note the outsole which has a similar look to the Tech Challenge II, which would eventually also end up on your precious Yeezy II's.)
