Before Ken Griffey Jr. was a baseball superstar with his own signature shoes and famous "Vote for Griffey" and "Hit it Here" ad campaigns there came this print ad from early in his career featuring him and his father.  Ken Griffey Sr. was also a professional baseball player - and not a bad one either.  He was a three time All Star and helped lead the Cincinnati Reds to two World Series Championships in 1975 and 1976.  Late in his career for the 1990-91 season fate somehow brought father and son together onto the same team, the Seattle Mariners.  A nice piece of trivia: The Griffeys hit back-to-back home runs on September 14, 1990 making them the first father and son tandem to ever accomplish the feat.

The Nike Air Trainer Accel low is a fairly simple and straightforward training shoe that released around 1992.  The mid-top version utilized the Huarache technology, but the low version did not.  It's a fairly obscure and rare shoe, so if you ever find a pair, pick them up!
