With the football season now over, Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton is already deep into his offseason training, and for the first time ever, he'll be spending the next few months training in a shoe with his very own name on it.

His new Under Armour Cam Trainer, the brand's first ever signature training shoe, comes equipped with everything for Newton's varied workouts. There's a full-length Micro G cushioning platform, a wide stance at his request, and a combination of rich and textured materials and looks.

Newton worked hand-in-hand with UA's Head Creative Director of Footwear Dave Dombrow, and the lead colorway for the Low-cut version of the Cam Trainer will be this Metallic Silver / Red / Sunbleached version seen below. Inspired by high performance sports cars that Cam admires, there's a mix of gloss throughout and bright logo accents to be found.

After previously discussing the inspiration behind the new CompFit-equipped Highlight Trainer, Dave and Cam catch up once again to talk about the Cam Trainer Low.

You can check out the current Under Armour Cam Newton Collection now on UA.com, and look for the Cam Trainer Low to launch next week.
