Vans Rowley Pro Lite
words // Zack Schlemmer
In 1999 Vans and pro rider Geoff Rowley helped bring skate shoes back to their roots with the Rowley Pro, which featured a stripped-down construction on a traditional Vans vulcanized Waffle sole - a stark contrast to the heavily padded and teched-out skate shoes of the time. Fourteen years later the signature shoe that helped bring board feel back to the game has returned with an updated, lighter construction.
The Rowley Pro Lite marries advanced durability with the leader in board grip and feel by combining a stitchless upper on a single-wrap vulcanized outsole. Rowley's new signature shoe retains the same silhouette as the original, but adds new technology. The construction features a breathable mesh inner glove and Vans' Ultracush Lite sockliner all wrapped within a durable suede and lightweight mesh shell.
The Rowley Pro Lite in two debut colorways of black and blue is available now at select Vans Pro Skate retailers, as well as Vans.com.
