It's a common practice for sneaker companies to re-introduce old models with lighter builds that are allowed by more modern tech.
With that being said, those re-introductions usually alter the outward aesthetics of the shoes - you've seen that endlessly on the Swoosh side of things with the various Lunar and Hyperfuse builds.
