Vans will ditch its standard leather approach for the Sk8 Hi and canvas approach for the Era in favor of what it's calling "buttersoft" suede on this new group.
This sort of boasting about specifics on suede is the kind of stuff usually heard in collaboration build up, but it's interesting to see that Vans is taking a conscious approach to give a same premium feel to some of its inline releases. Furthering that feel is the crisp brown leather lining that each of the sneakers in this new set use. The pastel colors of the pack almost feel like a throwback to Tyler the Creator's Vans set, although the suede here might be a touch above what was used on those pairs.
