The Kobe 8 ended things on a high note with the "Spark" release, a sneaker whose mystique was helped by its regional release.
Even more mysterious is this Nike Kobe 8 "Spark" sample that's floating around right now, which keeps the firework graphics on the upper but switches up the colors. The usually black Swoosh that cuts across the side is swapped out for a yellow one, and the heel counter and the lacing supports are both a dark red this time around. Given how much fanfare accompanied this colorway originally, it's a bit surprising that Nike Basketball didn't capitalize and follow up with more "Spark" Kobe sneakers–imagine a Flyknit array conveying this sort of fiery look.
