for those of you saying this is getting too much attention: this is a shoe forum, one that heavily focuses on basketball shoes. This is definitely news worthy.
for those of you saying they don't owe an explanation: this is lebron's signature (think about what that word means) shoe this year and nike is making crazy loot by charging a couple bills for something their signature athlete clearly has issues with. they definitely owe an explanation as to why he's not wearing them.
Since you touched on the two points I made...
The Wall Street journal isn't a shoe forum, they're talking about it.
Lebron doesn't need to tell people why. nike, the company paying Lebron millions of dollars to wear HIS signature shoe, needs to tell people where they fell short. Lebron didn't do anything wrong, nike made him an inferior product for his purposes. They need to right the wrong.
put it this way.. the wall street journal isnt a shoe forum.. so it has another view in this issue looking from another angle.. and based on a business magazine site, if you dont practice what you preach then there is something wrong with your product. the other term for that is hypocritical....which is bad last time i checked
