Under Armour Announces The Signing of Raymond Felton

Under Armour Micro G Torch - Raymond Felton 'Away' PE

words // Brandon Richard

It's been a good year to be a point guard on the Under Armour roster. Brandon Jennings is playing some of the best basketball of his career and has the Bucks in playoff position. Kemba Walker's numbers are up across the board and he's shooting at a clip necessary to be a top flight point guard in the league. Greivis Vasquez is also having a career year, nearly averaging a double-double through 42 games with the Hornets.

This is all great news for New York Knicks floor general Raymond Felton, who as of today is an official member of Under Armour Basketball.

Under Armour announces a multi-year deal with the 7-year veteran, who has been wearing Player Exclusive colorways of the Micro G Torch this season. He is currently averaging 15.8 points and 6.3 assists per game.

“Under Armour is taking basketball to the next level with innovative products providing players like myself real performance benefits,” said Felton. “From everything I’ve seen I know the brand is really committed to growing the game at the NBA, College, High School and Youth platforms. I’m looking forward to sharing my insights with the team and being a part of the UA basketball movement.

“We are extremely excited about partnering with Ray, a true professional and someone who embodies the underdog spirit we look for in our basketball athletes,” said Kris Stone, Director of Sports Marketing, Professional Basketball, Under Armour. “Ray has clearly established himself as a winner dating back to his high school state championships, NCAA Championship and current impact on the Knicks recent rise to the top of their division.”

After fracturing his finger back in December, Felton is expected to return to the court this weekend.

Above, a look at Raymond Felton's 'Away' Under Armour Micro G Torch PE.
