If you remember the initial unveil of the Nike Zoom Vapor Tour 9, you probably remember the detail that Tinker Hatfield designed on his iPad.

What was left in Nike's official story was the fact that Tinker already had a design for the shoe whipped up at the end of his first meeting with Roger Federer on the project. The latest episode of Complex TV's Quickstrike, which again takes place inside a Winnebago in the famed Innovation Kitchen on Nike's campus in Beaverton, tells the story. In the clip, Tinker describes drawing up the initial shape of the shoe and surprising Federer with it at the end of their session. Watch below for more on the Tinker x Federer project.
