Best of his generation? Kobe Bryant's case is solid, but Tim Duncan has the resume to possibly trump him. This month, Duncan is attempting to become a 5-time NBA Champion, joining greats like Kobe and Magic Johnson in a tie for sixth all-time. To get one for the thumb, Tim and his San Antonio Spurs will need to hold off the Miami Heat in this year's Finals, and they got off to a good start last night.

Game 1 was standard Duncan. The quietest 20 and 14 you'll ever see, but extremely effective. His jumper with .8 seconds left in the first half kept the Spurs within reach and his defense down the stretch was key in thwarting any Heat comeback attempt. Behind Duncan's performance and a late-game takeover by Tony Parker, the Spurs stole the first game 92-88. Play resumes in Miami Sunday.

Throughout the second half of the season and first three rounds of the playoffs, Duncan wore Player Exclusive colorways of the adidas Crazy Fast. For the Finals, Duncan switched to a PE version of the Crazyquick, decked out in all-business black with contrasting grey and black accents. 'TD' on the tongue makes it official.

The Crazyquick has been heavily promoted as a guard shoe, but Timmy's endorsement gives the model some big man credibility. Next: adidas MUST film an A$AP Rocky commercial with Duncan balling in a shoe. Anything less is a disappointment.
