This Is One of the Rarest Nike Air Max 90s Ever

A curious pair of Nike AIr Max 90s that were apparently exclusive to Dover Street Market.

These days, Dover Street Market is a common Nike partner, having teamed up with them on shoes like the Nike Air Python as well as on countless limited releases via the NikeLab section of DSM NY.

They were working with the Swoosh before the current wave of collaboration projects though. Shown here is one of the rarest pairs to ever show up at Dover Street Market, a 2012 Nike Air Max 90 Hyperstrike that was apparently limited to around twelve pairs total worldwide. Little information exists on the pair, and there's unfortunately no DSM-specific branding to cement the connection, but the broken-up Swoosh on the insoles serves as one of the few markers of its uniqueness.

This Nike Air Max 90 was part of a larger "Grey Scale" pack that included the likes of the Nike Free Powerlines, the Nike Air Safari, and the Nike Air Epic. According to the seller on eBay, the Nike Air Max 90 "Grey Scale" was released only at DSM London and DSM Ginza, and each store's stock limited to just one size of each. If that is the case, that makes this Nike Air Max 90 one of the rarest pairs ever released.
