Though there's been a friendly debate between members of the current USA Basketball Team and the 1992 Dream Team about which squad would prevail in a hypothetical match-up, there's still a great deal of mutual respect between the two. Today, the 2012 team returns to the scene of the original triumph, Barcelona, Spain, where they will square off against Argentina in a pre-Olympic exhibition. To celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Dream Team and the return trip to Barcelona, Team USA will be outfitted in 92-style throwback uniforms by Nike. In addition to the retro design, each jersey features a golden "CD," patch, paying tribute to head coach of the Dream Team, the late Chuck Daly.
Showing their excitement, several Team USA players have tweeted out photos of their throwback unis today. A couple of the guys also included their Olympic sneakers, and it looks like LeBron may wear an alternate "USA" Lunar Hyperdunk.
