DJ Clark Kent continues his big day with a new LOOK/SEE collaboration, working with the Portland-based eyewear label on a special pair of "112" sunglasses. The shades feature a reflective surface on the rims, dark grey elephant print temples and a custom phone booth metal inlay.
LOOK/SEE's Kyle Yamaguchi provides the story behind the collab:
The story behind this collab comes from the numerous projects I created with DJ Clark Kent during my days as a Nike Basketball Product Line Manager. Together, Clark and I worked on the "112" Hyperdunk, Air Force 25 Low, LeBron 7, and LeBron 8. In addition we paired up for the LeBron 8 "James Dean" denim colorway as well. Working with Clark was always a great experience. He forced me to push the envelope with the Nike developers and factory and use new reflective midsole treatments like on the Hyperdunk or very non-performance materials such as the denim used on the LBJ8. Upon leaving Nike and starting LOOK/SEE, Clark and I had developed a solid friendship and decided to work on a pair of sunglasses together. After many months, we finally got these right!
112 pairs of the LOOK/SEE x DJ Clark Kent LS1 are available now at lookseegoods.com.
