Half of the NBA's Conference Finals picture is set following last night's Game 5s in Oklahoma City and Miami.
As they have throughout the playoffs, the undermanned Chicago Bulls put up a valiant effort in South Beach, but the Heat proved to be too much to handle. With Dwyane Wade showing flashes of his old self in the 4th Quarter, Miami pulled away late and clinched the series with a 94-91 victory.
The Bulls end the season on a very respectable note and should be a very exciting group for adidas Basketball next season. In addition to the return of a fully rested and recovered Derrick Rose, Jimmy Butler made great strides this season, both with his play and his sneaker selections.
In better news for adidas Hoops, the Memphis Grizzlies gritted and grinded their way to the Western Finals after disposing of the Oklahoma City Thunder on the road. Mike Conley paced the win with 13 points, 11 assists and 7 rebounds, while Tony "First Team" Allen's late-game defense helped seal the deal.
Miami and Memphis now await the winners of Indiana/New York and Golden State/San Antonio. Both series resume tonight.
Before we see how things turn out, check out the latest adidas Basketball NBA Sneaker Watch, including one last look at the Bulls and Thunder.
