Like always, getting things started off for the NBA's All-Star Saturday Night was the Haier Shooting Stars Competition, which featured teams representing Texas, Atlanta, New York and the host city of Orlando. After one round of competition, it was the NYC squad of former Knick sharpshooter Allan Houston, WNBA Champion Cappie Pondexter and current Knick Landry Fields emerging out of the field along with Team Texas' Kenny "The Jet" Smith, Rocket Chandler Parsons and the WNBA's Sophia Young. The Texas team made things complicated for the New Yorkers in the final round, but the expected lights out shooting of Allan Houston helped guide the orange and blue to victory. With the win, the trio became the first New York Team to win the Shooting Stars competition.
