Last night, MTV held their 29th Annual Video Music Awards celebration at Staples Center in Los Angeles for the very first time. The night's big winner was British boy band One Direction, who took home three Moon Men, including honors for Best New Artist. Nicki Minaj won Best Female Video for "Starships," while Chris Brown's "Turn Up The Music" won him the Best Male award. Receiving the night's biggest award was Rihanna, who became the first female (and second overall) to win Video of the Year twice for "We Found Love."
Kevin Hart's jokes fell flat, MTV's new era of boy bands initiative felt forced and Kanye ditched the event to attend Kim's fragrance launch. So we were left mostly checking for the footwear and there were a couple of interesting pairs in the mix. See who wore what at the 2012 VMAs below.
