Monkey Masked Men Rob Sneaker Store at Gunpoint

A sneaker store in Los Angeles' Fairfax district was the target of an unfortunate armed robbery.

Armed men wearing monkey masks raided a Los Angeles sneaker store on Thursday afternoon, making out with plenty of Air Jordans in the process.

KTLA 5 reports the two robbers, who are still at large, entered the store brandishing semiautomatic handguns at the clerk. The clip shows that both made out with what appear to be GS Air Jordan retro releases, which is a strange grab for a heist given the higher ticket items seen on the shelves and on the store's website.

Officers on the scene apparently declined to confirm that Melrose Athletic Supply was the business robbed, but police were seen interviewing employees inside the store. After the crime, both suspects sped away in a Nissan Altima.
