The limits of golf attire will be tested when Rory McIlroy wears these wild NIKEiD creations at the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open on May 28.
The goal here isn't just to turn heads though. The four sneakers were actually designed by children whose lives have been affected by cancer, and the project is a collaboration between Nike, the Rory Foundation, and the Cancer Fund for Children in Northern Ireland. Each of the four children who came up with these shoes got their own pairs to match McIlroy's.
What's more, the sneakers will raise money for the Rory Foundation. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of these Nike Lunar Control 3 designs on NIKEiD will go to benefit McIlroy's foundation.
