Roger Federer Says the Nike Zoom Vapor AJ3 Was Too Limited

Roger Federer knows that you missed out on the Nike Court Zoom Vapor AJ3.

Roger Federer feels your pain as far as not being able to get a pair of the Nike Zoom Vapor AJ3.

In this new video, released by Nike on the same day as the "Black/Cement" Vapor Jordans, the man himself says that "the problem is that was limited". Of course you probably didn't need to hear that if you were one of the countless people trying to snag a pair via NikeLab or Flight 23. Just as telling is Federer's follow up comment, which answers questions about why Nike would make a shoe so scarce - "Once it's limited it's so hard to get, and then you go crazy about it, if you do have it or you don't have it - it drives you crazy." Wait a minute, did Roger Federer just accidentally sum up sneaker culture in 2014 in ten seconds?

It's worth mentioning that limited edition Roger Federer sneakers are nothing new - fans of his footwear will remember previous Nike Zoom Vapor Tour 9s in limited numbers like the "Saville Row", the "287", and others. The difference is that the Air Jordan connection has this time turned a much more rabid crown on to the Vapor Tour 9, and most likely resulted in an eye opening moment for Federer. Watch the clip below and let us know how you feel about the direction that Nike Tennis is headed in as far as limited footwear and the recent Nike Court push.
