Just three days away from Opening Day, New Balance adds a little power to its roster of athletes in the form of All-Star second baseman Robinson Cano of the Seattle Mariners.
“I signed with New Balance because they understand what is important to me on and off the baseball field,” Cano said. “They support my commitment to my family, my home and the RC22 Foundation and our relationship has already shown that with their contribution to the RC22 Dream School. I’m honored to be the newest face of their baseball division.”
New Balance will provide Cano with on-field footwear, off-field apparel and support the charitable work of his RC22 Foundation. The brand will also outfit students at Cano’s RC22 Dream School in New Balance footwear and apparel for their uniforms.
Prior to signing with New Balance, Cano played in cleats by Nike. This season, he’ll lace up a special make-up of the 3000v2 spike, including a version bearing his signature camouflage print.
