When Rihanna's creative director role at Puma was announced back in December, 2014, it seemed inevitable that some collaborative sneakers would come from the partnership.
Fast forward almost a year later and it looks like those sneakers are nearly ready for release. This Rihanna x Puma style, which has been spotted on-feet for her, appears to be one of the first pairs coming from the team up. The sneaker features a Puma Suede-like upper with a chunky creeper sole unit.
The box reads "Puma by Rihanna" and "FENTY," the latter being the singer's last name.
Expect a sneaker release date for the Rihanna Puma sneakers soon.
UPDATE 9/14: The Puma x Rihanna collection has been officialy unveiled, with the first colorway already available from Puma here. Puma will also offer the sneakers to NYC customers via a pop-up space at 312 Bowery Street between East 1st Street & Bleecker Streets in SoHo. The store will be open 12 pm - 5 pm on Tuesday, Sep. 15 and 11 am – 7 pm on Wednesday, Sep. 16 and Thursday, Sep. 17.
According to Puma the sneakers will launch globally at select retailers on Sep. 18. Additional colorways will launch on Sep. 25.

UPDATE 9/9: The Rihanna x Puma Suede Creepers Collection will release at select retailers such as Eastbay on Sept. 25 for $120 in three colorways.
