Reebok Classics continues to dig into their Archives. This time, they are set to bring back another late '90s classic.
After successfull returns for the Kamikaze I and II, the Shaq line and the resurrection of the Question, its no surprise that Reebok is looking to bring back more forgotten classics. Recently, The Blast made its return and now it looks as if another long-lost model is set for a comeback, The Shroud. Originally released in 1998, the Reebok The Shroud was the brands alternative to Nike's Air Zoom Flight '98 (aka The Glove). Worn on-court by Shawn Kemp while he played for the Cleveland Cavaliers throughout the '97-'98 NBA season.
The shoe features a black spandex shroud on the upper with a zipper down the middle. Recently, a new sample has popped up, courtesy of @sneakergaga which shows a new retro of The Shroud in the original black, white and blue colorway. This pair looks true to the original, with a black and white upper, black shroud, blue accents, a white outsole and small hits of silver. Vintage branding on the tongue tag finishes this pair off, and should appease fans of this model that have been eager for their return.
No release date has been announced however, expect to see the Reebok The Shroud release sometime in 2015.
