Confirming rumors that have been making waves in recent weeks, Reebok and Kendrick Lamar officially announced their partnership tonight.

To get the word out, Reebok released a video titled ‘I Am,’ featuring the rapper taking you through his hometown of Compton while laced up in a pair of Ventilators.

Though he’s known to favor Nike’s Cortez, Lamar says he’s been fond of Reebok sneakers for quite some time. "The shoe became popular when Cash Money Records hit the scene," Lamar told Reebok. "Everybody wanted to wear 'Tee Bos and Rees' as the Hot Boys would put it. White Tee, Girbaud Jeans, and Reebok Classics."

The video also gives us our first look at the upcoming Ventilator OG, set for a January 15 launch. Lamar will be part of the Ventilator’s 25th Anniversary campaign launching in March and will release his own capsule collection, including signature Ventilator styles, in June 2015.
