It Ain't Chuck Though: Ralph Lauren to Destroy Converse Knockoffs

Converse's battle against sneaker companies rampantly ripping off its classic styles like the Chuck Taylor just got serious.

The Daily Mail reports that Ralph Lauren, one of the offending companies, has agreed to destroy 36 different styles of Converse copycats. In addition to destroying all existing product as well as the molds, tools, and parts used to create them, Ralph Lauren will also pay Converse an undisclosed amount of money.

Ralph Lauren has 30 days to complete the destruction of all sneakers judged to be Chuck Taylor copycats.

Skechers, Walmart, K-Mart, and FILA have also been accused of ripping off Converse designs–no word on whether they've got similar destructions planned.
