The 2011 college basketball season officially tipped off last night as schools across the country held student and alumni events as part of Midnight Madness. Taking time out to represent his alma mater, Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway was a special guest at Memphis Madness, where he was one of the judges for the dunk contest. Prior to attending the event, Penny sent out a tweet that is sure to get people talking.
With a picture attached, Penny wrote "All white foams for Memphis Madness. Exclusive!!!!" If you happened to catch any of the contest, that was indeed his footwear of choice. As you'd expect, the shoes feature a white foam and synthetic leather upper with matching laces and branding. The long bit of contrasting color comes in the form of a black carbon fiber shank plate, while a translucent rubber outsole provides the finishing touch below.
