Although his 2012 campaign is on pause as he recovers from a right shoulder subluxation, Jacoby Ellsbury enters the season looking to build on his MVP-caliber performance from 2011. The 2011 American League Comeback Player of the Year became the first Red Sox player in history to hit 30 home runs and steal 30 bases in a season.
Ellsbury, the first Native American of Navajo descent to play in the MLB, starts the season wearing a special N7 version of the Nike Air Show Elite 2 in Black / Varsity Red / Stealth / College Navy. The Nike N7 program benefits Native American and Aboriginal youth athletic programs throughout North America.
Ellsbury is currently rehabbing his shoulder, hoping for a June return to the Boston starting lineup.
