Our Favorite Colorway of Every Nike LeBron

Check out our picks.

These days, so many colorways of each LeBron come out that it's hard to even keep track of them. It hasn't always been that way, but even in the days when just a few versions released, there were some clear stand-outs. Today we are taking a look at our favorite edition of every LeBron, from the Air Zoom Generation, all the way to the 11. We've excluded the 12 based on the fact that we've probably only seen a 10th of the colorways that will eventually release. And we've also limited this list to editions that have actually released at retail. Check out our picks, and let us know which ones you agree with, as well as which ones you think we missed.

Model: Air Zoom Generation

Colorway: Wheat

What’s So Good?: The overall design of the AZG felt relatively safe, considering it was the debut shoe for the most hyped rookie of the generation, which made the Wheats a stand out as the most unique colorway of the model.

Model: Zoom LeBron II

Colorway: Birthday

What’s So Good?: All-black LeBrons have become expected with each shoe, but the first one didn't hit until the line's second model, when it released exclusively online in honor of LeBron's 20th birthday.

Model: Zoom LeBron III

Colorway: White/Gold

What’s So Good?: The Zoom LeBron III may lack a clear stand-out colorway, but the clean style of the white and gold colorway allowed the shoe's design to shine without being flashy.

Model: Zoom LeBron IV

Colorway: Launch

What’s So Good?: The launch colorway of the Zoom LeBron IV perfectly captured the shoe's swooping Foamposite design by contrasting the high-arching midsole against the black upper.

Model: Zoom LeBron V

Colorway: Yankees

What’s So Good?: For Cleveland fans, worry that LeBron would take his talents to the home of the Yankees made this the most controversial shoe in the history of the line. It's also far and away the most popular V, releasing back at a time when a House of Hoops exclusive was actually something special.

Model: Zoom LeBron VI

Colorway: Big Apple

What’s So Good?: The Miami colorway of the Rivalry pack may have gone on to have the greatest significance, but the Big Apples’ pre-Red October style made them the most memorable in a long line of limited LeBron 6s.

Model: Air Max LeBron VII

Colorway: Red Carpet

What’s So Good?: The 7 is remembered as being the first shoe in the LeBron line to have Flywire, but the more lux woven upper found on the Red Carpets is our preference.

Model: Air Max LeBron 8

Colorway: South Beach

What’s So Good?: Just because the South Beach 8 is one of the most hyped sneakers ever, that doesn't mean it isn't actually great. As proof, think about how many times we've seen this same colorway miss the mark since.

Model: LeBron 9

Colorway: Big Bang

What’s So Good?: The Galaxy Foamposite may have been the biggest release during All-Star Weekend in Orlando, but the all-orange Big Bang added to the excitement of the occasion, and went on to become the most popular of all the 9s.

Model: LeBron 10

Colorway: Crown Jewel

What’s So Good?: In our most closely contested debate on these colorways, the Cork 10s were narrowly outvoted by the Crown Jewels, based on wearability. The cool box didn't hurt either.

Model: LeBron 11

Colorway: King’s Pride

What’s So Good?: Trinidad James’ music career may have stalled, but us sneaker fans will always remember him for helping to debut the best colorway of the LeBron that LeBron never wanted to wear.
