With Tip-Off 2012 around the corner, the North Carolina Tar Heels hosted their only preaseason game against Division II Shaw at the Dean Dome Friday night. Shaw posed an unexpected challenge, holding a lead with less than 15 minutes to play. However, the Tar Heels put together a late run to pull away with a decisive 81-54 victory. James Michael McAdoo led the way for North Carolina with 16 points and 8 rebounds.
A new season of North Carolina hoops means a new season of North Carolina Jordan Player Exclusives, and a few styles were on display Friday night. Majority of the players were wearing a new PE make-up of the Air Jordan 2012 Lite, while others settled in the Melo M8, CP3.IV and KD IV.
