A throwback to 1996, the North Carolina Tar Heels wore the 'Legend Blue' Air Jordan 11 and throwback uniforms in today's game against the Ohio State Buckeyes.
As part of the first annual CBS Sports Classic at Chicago's United Center, the Heels bested the Buckeyes 82-74 behind 18 points and 9 rebounds from junior forward Brice Johnson.
The '96 team, which included players like Antawn Jamison and Jeff McGinnis, debuted the original 'Columbia' 11 on-court. Michael Jordan then famously wore the colorway for the All-Star Game, but it was originally a salute to his alma mater.
