Niketown's 'New York Knicks' Air Jordan Collection
words // Brandon Richard
Over the years, we've seen several unique, unreleased Air Jordan sample collections on display at Niketowns across the country. In Georgetown, you'll find the classic line styled in the trademark grey and navy scheme of the Hoyas. The white and red 'History of Flight' lineup has been spotted in New York and Santa Monica. Now, an all-new series has popped up in Vegas.
Pictured below is the post-Bulls part of the Air Jordan line in New York Knicks 'Home' colorways. According to The Shoe Game, NTLV mistakenly received a couple of these samples for their Anniversary Collection display. Jordan Brand created a few more Knicks-themed pairs to even things out.
During the summer of 1996, Michael Jordan actually flirted with the idea of signing with the New York Knicks, so there's also a 'What If?' component to this collection. Should any of these pairs drop or should they all remain samples?
