NikeStore Canceling Bot Orders For Future Restocks
@jnoonan27 Yes. Orders that have been cancelled will be held and released at an unannounced later date.— Nike.com (@nikestore) July 23, 2013

Like most of you, I drug myself out of bed early this past Saturday morning hoping to get my hands on Cole Johanson's Air Jordan 3 DB Retro from nikestore.com. Also like most of you, I added the shoe to my cart within seconds, only to get the "We've saved your spot in line!" message. Of course, a pair never made its way to my cart and I was left emptyhanded...again.
Why does it seem like pairs are being bought from NikeStore faster that humanly possible these days? Because they are. Resellers are using bot programs to automatically buy out the stock before pairs ever have a chance of making it to your cart. Nike is aware of this — and they've taken some steps to help level the playing field.
Recently, Nike announced that they would be canceling any orders they find have completed using one of these automatic bot programs. Sure enough, some users on Twitter have posted screenshots of canceled orders due to suspicion of bot usage. And while that's a great step, what about honest buyers missing out on release day?
Answering a follower question earlier today, @NikeStore stated that canceled orders are being held and will be re-released in the future at a random date and time.
However, we know that they're not catching everybody. And until they find a way to make bot programs completely obsolete, the average customer will continue to endure miserable Saturday mornings with little to no shot at picking up a shoe he or she really wants. Random restocks are great, but still require a great deal of luck. Better than nothing, I guess.
My question is this — with Nike clearly being one of the world's most innovative and forward-thinking companies in the world, why have they always had so many issues with checkout? Is it fair to expect more or should we be patient while they attempt to find a bigger solution? Share your thoughts on the latest step toward eliminating bots below.

This is similar to my idea of a preorder system. The result is that the true sneakerheads get their kicks and resellers are left hanging. Also, if the sneakers aren't re-released for several years then they maintain their rarity for a generation. Fill the demand!
Luke. you think Jeffery`s comment is surprising, last thursday I bought themselves a Mitsubishi Evo from making $9805 this-last/4 weeks and a little over 10k lass month. no-doubt about it, this really is the nicest work I've had. I began this 10-months ago and almost straight away was bringin home minimum $70 per/hr. I follow the instructions here...... www.Jam10.com
We're just hungry consumers that want more than what we need. Technology will always be flawed and there will always be ways around the system. People can keep complaining but they'll keep buying.
Don't worry about Nike or JB, they'll keep making money regardless of resellers. Don't let the "encouraging" announcements of fixing their issues deceive you either. If you can't get your shoes for retail, then step your game up and start making connections.
I personally cant even wear my Red 4s right now because literally everybody and their momma got them joints and BTW most of yah cant rock then right anyway hahahhaha
contradiction: I can see them dropping them DBs in unlimited quantities.... after all it is for charity....
First off, who gives 2 shits how many thousands of dudes & ladies rock their Toro IVs right now? If you like the shoe, rock it. Do you shave your head cuz there are too many blonde or brunette folks in public? Watch cricket instead of Bball cuz there are too many NBA followers? They're just shoes, wear what YOU like.
Also, why does Nike give 2 shits about the resell value of a shoe they made full retail price on? They DON'T! There's not even a point to hyping up QS releases from their perspective if they sell out, they never see the profit a garbage ass reseller makes off em after market, so what difference does it make? As long as they make ANY profit off shoes that cost $5-$30 a pair to make in factories overseas, whether it be thru a RSVP QS at select locations or blow outs at outlets for half-off, they Still Make MONEY, so what happens to "market value" down the road makes no difference.
Hell, quite the opposite is true! When something like CDP CWs of popular shoes climb to all-time high prices after market, what does Nike do? Mass release the same CWs as yet another Retro, of course! That DIMINISHES the Value of their own products from just a few years earlier & they cut in & make mad bank once again off an even more poorly made Re-Re-Retro than the last one, charging higher retail than yesteryear while they're at it.
Nike standing up against Bots is a good thing but their checkout process is akin to fly covered shit compared to some of their own retailers' sites, which is pathetic & shoulda been fixed LONG before Sneakers became the overhyped mammoth market they are today. It won't cure resellers by any means until they Supply the Demand AND buyers stop buying from resellers. That's all there is to it. It's a step but it's not even close to a fix.

its simple bro. nike wants its like this. they sell out. u miss out. u try again. my advice give jordans a break, im tired of everybody rocking jays thinking dey fly anyways.
And they should stagger the shipments to stores on top of the anonymous date. Let's say Footlocker get they shipment on tuesday, and FL get theirs on thursday and so on. That would break shit all up.
That's stupid so basically everyday you would have to get up and check NDC or footlocker or Finishline.com in addition to calling the stores everyday to see if they have that particular item.....QFT
