Last week, we were surprised when a thought-to-be unreleased colorway of the Nike Zoom KD III mysteriously popped up for sale on the site of New York area retailer Jimmy Jazz. The colorway, worn by Miami Heat guard Mike Miller during the NBA Finals, has also been linked to Nike EYBL basketball teams and Durant-outfitted schools by Sole Collector readers. Outside of that, we're not exactly sure why these were released and whether or not we can expect ot see them pop up at additional retail locations.
The look of the shoe is similar to that of the "All-Star" colorway, but there are some differences. While the upper of the All-Star kicks featured somewhat of a vinyl texture, the "Mike Miller" colorway is straight up glossy patent leather all the way through. Varsity Red establishes a dominant presence on the upper, while black fills in the quarter panels, tongue, laces and interior lining. White appears on Swoosh branding, the KD logo on the tongue and Flywire notation on the forefoot. Black helps out again on the midsole, while a red rubber outsole finishes off the look below.
