According to reports from various news outlets, Nike has signed New Orleans Hornets rookie Anthony Davis to a multi-year endorsement deal. As of now, the exact terms of the agreement are undisclosed.
Davis suited up in the Swoosh at Chicago's Perspectives Charter, and again during his championship campaign at the University of Kentucky, before taking the floor in the Lunar Hyperdunk for Team USA this summer. He was the top pick in June's NBA Draft, coming off a college season in which he was named National Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year and the NCAA Tournament's Most Outstanding Player.
Don't expect to see signature footwear anytime soon, but it's safe to assume Nike and Davis will work together on some merchandise that pokes fun at his famous unibrow. Davis and his people reportedly applied to trademark the terms "Fear the Brow" and "Raise the Brow" back in June.
Nike also signed second overall pick Michael Kidd-Gilchrist of the Charlotte Bobcats back in May.
