Nike SB will carry on with its tradition of sly cultural references with this upcoming Nike SB Dunk Low release.
Rather than go the more obvious route as far as Wizard of Oz tie ins by using ruby-red, the sneakers have a black and white upper that seems to nod to the film's transition between color and black and white. The innards of the shoe are more direct, with a gingham liner that matches Dorothy's dress and a yellow brick road insole.
There is no release date yet for the Nike SB Dunk Low "Dorothy," but Japanese retailers are getting them now, so a U.S. release shouldn't be far behind.
