Nike Sportswear presents the Lunarspider R 2 Ekiden pack, representing Japan's time-honored long-distance relay races. The pack is highly influenced by the famous Hakone Ekiden, a collegiate contest that pits the Tokyo region's best college running clubs against each other in a two-day, 217.9km race.
The shoe appears in several collegiate-inspired colorways, including Waseda maroon and Komazawa purple. The lightweight running sneaker features 3D printing on the upper, sitting on a Lunar sole.
The Lunarspider R 2 Ekiden pack is slated for a Holiday 2011 release.
