The Nike Air Akronite isn't a kids-exclusive model after all, at least as far as LeBron James is concerned.
If anyone were to have a pair of these outside of the normal size range, it would be James. The shoe, named after his hometown, appeared courtside during last night's pre-season Cavs/Mavericks game. As this isn't a proper performance shoe, James didn't end up wearing it in-game.
Don't anticipate this pair getting a retail release in adult sizes or in this colorway. But, kids hoping to get in on the Air Akronite can find the debut colorway in stores now.
