Back in January, graphic artist Dead Dilly unveiled a gallery of Nike Kyrie 1 renderings with premium storytelling concepts. Among them was a pair dubbed "55," inspired by Kyrie Irving's double-nickel performance against the Portland Trail Blazers. Denoting Kyrie being "on fire" in the game, burn marks were added to a white-to-black gradient design.
Making Dead Dilly's concept a reality, customizer Mache recently made an actual pair of "55" Kyrie 1s for a customer. The finished product is pretty much an exact interpretation of the original rendering. And while Nike did a lot of good things with the Kyrie 1, there's no doubt that this would have been a killer release for the brand.
